There are more ways to make coffee besides drip, percolate, and espresso. Another particular method, originated in France, is the press-pot - popularly known as the French Press. French presses create a smooth, pure coffee flavor using a simple but effective process. Simply pour hot water into the carafe, add coarse ground coffee directly into the water then install the lid/plunger assembly. After the coffee has brewed for about 3-4 minutes press down the plunger. A fine mesh screen forces the grounds to the bottom and your coffee is ready to enjoy. Not in the mood for coffee? You can also use this with tea leaves.
